Management

Douglas Goodyear, President and Chief Executive Officer

Doug is an experienced Silicon Valley executive of over 20 years with large companies and small. His background includes CEO at both public (Tioga; NASDAQ TIGA, acquired by ST Micro) and private companies TakImaging (Insilica) and Nuelight (Leadis Technologies). He has raised working capital of nearly $100M and created exits in the public markets and via M & A. His background is primarily sales and marketing, with responsibilities of $100M - $1B in worldwide markets with companies such as Actel, Sharp and AMD. Doug holds a BS in Computer Science and Business Management, University of Nebraska.

Jens Kargaard Madsen, Vice President of Engineering

Jens was previously Director of Development for Vitesse Semiconductor's Ethernet Product Division, where he was responsible for all development activities related to Vitesse's Gigabit Ethernet Switch products. Before joining Vitesse in 1998, he worked in the ASIC group at DSC Communications, later Alcatel Denmark, as architect and designer. Previously he worked as an Associate Professor at the Broadband Telecommunication Institute at the Technical University of Denmark in the fields of architecture, design and implementation of high speed VLSI for broadband ATM systems. Jens holds an M.Sc.EE and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark focusing on high-speed self-timed circuit design.

Everett Herrera, Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Everett is a seasoned sales executive with extensive experience in the networking and telecom semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Enigma, Everett served as VP of Sales for Redpine Signals, a start up venture focused on low power wireless chipsets for portable and mobile devices. Previously, Everett held senior sales, marketing and engineering positions at Silicon Packets (Cypress), Intel, Paxonet Communications (Conexant) and C-Cube Microsystems (LSI Logic). Everett holds an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University.

Bill Bidermann, Vice President of Operations

Bill brings 25 years of experience as team leader, manager, and Vice President of Engineering in the semiconductor industry, including S3, HaL Computer, DEC, and Hewlett Packard. He led IC development teams for landmark designs including the SparcV9 at DEC and the first Alpha microprocessor. He serves on the IEEE Solid State Circuits Society as well as the Executive Committee of the VLSI Symposia. Bill holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Piyush Kothary, Vice President of Systems Engineering

Piyush is an established figure in the world of networking with experience delivering telco grade equipment including Ethernet switches, routers, ATM switches, LAN switches and test equipment. Piyush was the founder and Chief Technical Officer of Maple Optical Networks, a Raza Foundries company. He was Vice President of Hardware at Quicktree Systems and an Architect in the Ethernet Switching group at Intel. Piyush holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University.

Leo Quilici, Acting Chief Financial Officer

Leo has provided consulting services as acting chief financial officer to start-ups in the fabless semiconductor, telecom, hardware and software sectors for 15 years, a number of which underwent highly successful acquisitions and IPOs. Leo held full-time CFO positions at BrightLink Networks and Allied Telesyn International, was Vice President of Administration for Ungermann-Bass (IPO) and at Four-Phase Systems (IPO) held positions of increasing responsibility, with his last position as Director of Sales Administration. Leo earned a B.S. degree and M.B.A. from the University of Santa Clara.
